After a long break, I am back on Polyvore. School has been so crazy this year, especially since I am going to be graduating high school this upcoming June. Since I only have two more exams to finish off, and three classes next semester, I will have a lot more time to dedicate to my blog.

This outfit came to me when I taught about Spring. I love Spring, more so when it gets warmer and merges into summer. You can layer and still without looking foolish. This outfit is clean, classic, and polished with nude pumps, a dress that hits a few inches the ankles and has a small collar, a pastel blue Birkin to add a soft punch of colour, and a medium sized nude belt to tie the outfit together. Something I would definitely wear.

Yesterday, as a walked to school, I decided to turn on a calming song and look the what was around me. I saw a stunning blue sky with crisp white clouds. Trees were still naked from the previous fall and the roads were full with cars moving a swift paces.

{The song I was listening to was Dayvan Cowboy by Boards of Canada. It's a beautiful, soft and calm instrumental that makes you want to lay down and look at the whimsical creations put on this Earth}

It gave me the inspiration for these amazing, smooth photos.

I know I haven't done a 'Fresh Face' post in a while. I re-watched the Victoria's Secret Fashion show and saw a familiar face in the 'Aquatic Angels' section. It was French model Anais Mali, whom I did a post about a few months back. This sparked me to continue to do these posts.

When I was younger, I went through this stage where all I'd listen to was rock. I'd listen to ACDC and Queen, along with many more, but my favorites where Evanescence and Linkin Park. I still love all of these bands.

I love Evanescence for many reasons. One, the lyrics to their music actually mean something. Two, Amy Lee's voice is crazy amazing. And third, the feel of their music is great.

Amy Lee is gorgeous. I love her style, look and voice. She has an angelic, vampirishly elegant face and voice.

I am in love with Lizzy Grant aka Lana Del Rey. I've loved her music since she came out into the scene back in 2009. Her music is a seductive, indie like pop music with a unique twist.

As it is getting closer and closer to the holiday known as Christmas, I've been re-living my ballet days by listening to Tchaikovski's compositions from The Nutcracker. When I was younger and did ballet, I always wished that one day I'd be able to play Clara with the best prima ballerinas.

I still love watching ballet, the way ballerina's look effortlessly graceful as they dance along the stage, giving the audience a story to watch through their movements. I always get a little excited when I see a ballerina go en pointe, it's like a magical moment in itself.

After what seemed like a long break from one of my favorite websites, I checked out supermodels.nl and fell IN LOVE with the editorial I saw Karlie Kloss in. It screams high fashion!!

I love the shapes she creates with her body, the emotion you can feel through her eyes, her burning ginger hair and the styling! It's classic meets edge with a hint of Marie Antoinette. I also love the industrial feel to it, as this was shot it a place like a factory, a working feel.

Every year I get gitty with excitment knowing that the Victoria's Secret fashion show views at the end of November. I watched the elegant and flashy show yesterday, and they amped it up once again this year.

The first segement was a dream come true, with my favorite model Candice Swanepoel opening the show, a ballet theme, The Pretty Reckless's song "Makes Me Wanna Die" as their soundtrack, and Miranda Kerr closing.

Each segment was bold, sparkly and exciting. They also had great musical performances from Kanye West, Jay-Z, Maroon 5 and Nicki Minaj.

About a week ago I was on hollywoodlife.com and came across a spread in Allure magazine with one of my favorite models Candice Swanepoel. I then noticed it also included one of my favorite actors (who also shares the same birthday as me [December 8th]) Ian Somerhalder. It was almost to much to handle, with all the amazing styling, smoldering looks that Candice was giving the camera and the story involved.

Hailey Clauson first caught my eye about a year ago, when I saw her in some Forever21 ads and runway shows. It was her "pout like" lips that caught me the most. Then I saw her in Elie Saab's Haute Couture F/W 2011 show that I decided to look her up.

I was presently surprised to find out that this amazing young model is almost exactly a year younger than me (born March 7, 1995 -> she's 16). She's younger than Karlie Kloss! I hope she continues and goes far with her career.

I have been catching up on all of the fashion show that I have neglected on my iTunes. I started off with Elie Saab's Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2011-2012 show. It was (as usual) stunning beyond belief, it actually took my breathe away.

Not only were the garments, hair and makeup exsquisite, but the soundtrack set the mood of this expensive and elegant story. This show features Radiohead, TV on the Radio, Suuns, and a score by Thom Hanreich.

He always knows what a woman wants, how to create beautiful flowing shapes, using an amazing palette of colours from ivory to midnight blue. His attention to detail is beyond belief as he uses almost see through materials, sequins and elegantly placed flowered belts.

I know I've been gone for about three weeks now. I was in Chicago last week and have been busy for the last two.

After going to Downtown Chicago last friday, I got inspired to be a daredevil with my clothes. I said this before but never put it into action. I did this when I went into the (massive) Forever21 in Watertower Mall. I took babysteps with it but I did find some colourful and more eccentric (for me) pieces to add to my closet. Hopefully by school (septemeber) I'll be able to do personal style photos (like theglamourai and cupcakesandcashmere).

I am recently obsessed with a movie called Sucker Punch. Some people love it, and others hate it. I love it because the main character, Babydoll, wants to escape where she is and uses her imangination to free herself from reality.

I love the whole plot. But what really made me fall inlove with this movie (besides the amazing soundtrack) was the fashion in it. I give a round of applause to the costume, hair and makeup team hired for this movie, it's simply amazing.

For the past month I haven't updated my blog! It's been so crazy with school ending (culminating assignments due, exams to study for). This summer I'm going to try to update my blog every other day or so.

I'm really going to put more effort into it (I've been neglecting it..). I'm gonna start adding my personal style posts (like some of my favorite blogs such as cupcakesandcashmere and theglamourai).

I am also going to add a photography/styling portion to this blog. I've been taking after my dad and caught "the shutter bug", I love photography more than I thaught. I also style all of the shoots so I will start adding those in as well.

I want to be a fashion journalist and stylist after high school so I think this would be an awesome way to really get experience in something that could be useful in my future.

A few months ago the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Addition 2011 magazine came out. I was so excited for two reasons. One that I love getting them and two because my dad's good friend (Julie Harris) did the cover makeup for it. I came across one girl in particular that reminded me of a young Brooklyn Decker and that was Kate Upton.

She's 18 years old and already has a pretty successful career going. She is a Rookie of the Year in SI and is the face for Guess's Spring/Summer 2011 line.

As I was getting ready for school today, my friend texted me that it was a snow day. I wasn't that surprized since Canada's weather gets kinda wacko. Just yesterday it was 10degrees [celcius] (which is pretty warm for March), and today my backyard is now covered in a thick coat of snow!

On days like this I yearn for summer, I NEED summer to come ASAP. I just happened to be looking for some shorts and wedged heels when I saw that there are some amazing stuff back in stock on the Forever21 website. Just needed to share some amazing finds back in stock as well as other goodies.

~ As I was looking at the navy shorts, it gives the height of the model wearing the garment as well as the size she is wearing. I love that because you can get a better idea of what it looks like on yourself.

Personally, I think this is the worst fashion show Victoria's Secret has ever done. I hated the fact of a mosh pit, the over tanned skin, the V-shaped runway, and the way they braught out Marisa Miller with the multi-million dollar bra. I felt it was horrible, and I am so happy that last year the show went back it to it's roots, this being sulty wavy hair, soft, glowing skins, and having woman that are effortlessly sexy. This show just looked like they were trying too hard....

Do You Know Victoria's Secret? Part 1

I was redoing a page from the Victoria's Secret post, and came across a picture of young Adriana Lima in the Sexy Delicious segment of 2005 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and it inspired me to do a post on the evolution of this amazing brand.

FUN FACTS

~Victoria's Secret was actually started by a man, Ray Raymond, in San Fransico 1977, who felt embarrased trying to purchase lingerie for his wife in a department store enviornment. He then opened the first Victoria's Secret store at Stanford Shopping Centre in Palo Alto, and quickly followed it with a mail-order catologue and three other stores.
~ The stores were meant to create a comfortable enviornent for men, with wood-paneled walls, Victorian details and helpful sales staff. Instead of racks of bras and panties in every size, there were single styles, paired together and mounted on the wall in frames. I've always had a passion for art and anything that has to do around art, especially photography. My dad's a photographer, I've been around it my entire life so it's only fitting that I got into it. I remember when I was younger, people would always assume that I'd take after him and I'd always say no. It's still a no till this day, I enjoy it more as a hobby than a career.

A Model Life

Back in 2007, my aunt and I came across this show on TLC called "A Model Life" hosted by supermodel Petra Nemcova. I immediately turned up the volume and from that day on we were hooked. I featured 6 aspiring models from around the world around the the ages of 16-20, who were handpicked by Nemcova, to come to New York City to try to earn a contract with NEXT model management.

The reason why my aunt and I loved this show is because it's not like most modeling shows, an example being America's Next Top Model, where the tasks are very outrageous and not what is happening in the modeling world at all. It's not scripted or anything, these girls actually go to the agency, go on go-sees alone, and work like real models do, it was real, and true to the fashion industry.

There was one woman in particular that wowed me, that I still always look out for, and her name is Lucia Dvorská. She is a Slovakia, and started modeling at the age of four and is 5'9.5. She is a sweetheart, that has stunning blue eyes, luscious brown hair, a curvier, healthy body and a contagious smile. I didn't see much from her until the summer of 2009 when I bought the latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition and saw her as one of their new models. I was ecstatic.

I just needed to share the love about this amazing woman and model.

Britain's Next Top Model

It's been a few months since BNTM ended and I wanted to check up on the winner, Tiffany Pisani. I loved her in the show and was so happy when she won the title. She is a Maltese-British model, eighteen and 5'10. During the show she had her hair cut to a pixie cut and had her blonde hair lightened. Before the finale, she had it dyed a chocolate brown which looks amazing in contrast with her blue eyes.
